Texas Police Release New Dashcam Video of Bland's Arrest
The episode lasted 15 minutes, but social media lit up over concerns that dashcam video of Sandra Bland's arrest was edited. Today, Texas officials re-posted it online and said it wasn't edited and blamed technical glitches. In the video, the traffic stop seems to start off as a routine one, but the tone changes when state trooper Brian Encinia returns to Bland's car with her license. The events that follow have some asking whether the arrest was legal, as NBC's John Yang reports.

Charleston Church Shooter Dylan Roof Charged With Hate Crime
In a rare move from the feds, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced today that shooting suspect Dylann Roof will now face 33 federal charges, including hate crime violations. Roof could face the death penalty. As NBC's Kristen Welker reports, the indictment stated, "the parishioners had Bibles. Dylann Roof had his .45-caliber Glock pistol, and eight magazines loaded with hollow-point bullets."

Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Passengers Become Ill
Six passengers had passed out and several more were ill. It was enough to force the pilot of United Flight 447 from Denver to Los Angeles to turn back and make an emergency landing in western Colorado. Authorities say a medical event on board the plane caused a chain reaction of passengers to feel sick, as NBC's Tom Costello reports.

FBI Expands Probe for Chattanooga Shooter's Motive
Four acquaintances of Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez are now being investigated for any prior knowledge of the gunman's attack plans, say law enforcement officials. Today the FBI described how Abdulazeez took fire from at least one service member as he entered the Navy operation center, where 20 marines and two Navy members scattered as the gunman made his way through, targeting victims in the hallways, as NBC's Miguel Almaguer reports.
