Well, I'm the kind who does. I love personality frameworks. I believe they can be a great tool for self-knowledge — they help shine a spotlight on patterns of behavior and thinking.

That said, it's important not to let categories become stifling; they're not meant to box us in or limit our sense of possibility, but to point the way to helpful understanding or change. If you love a good personality framework as much as I do, you might be interested in these 10 books.

Elizabeth and I enjoyed talking to Melissa Hartwig, Whole30 co-founder, on Happier this past week. This led to some really interesting discussions on Facebook and Instagram about Abstainers vs. Moderators, and the "boot camp" approach to changing a habit.

I've had a lot of people ask me about my reading habits since I started this new weekly habit, so I wrote this post to answer all the frequently asked questions.
